Happy International Day of Play!
Play is essential to every child’s growth, learning, and well-being — laying the foundation for healthy development and a brighter future.
Every child, regardless of background, ability, gender, language, culture, or behaviour, has the right to play. This right must be upheld for all children — including those living as refugees, in institutional care, or within the juvenile justice system.
At Save the Children, we continue to champion the right to play by advocating for policy and law reforms, pushing for increased budget allocations, and ensuring children's voices are heard and reflected in key decision-making processes.

Refugee teachers are valuable assets to the education system, yet global policies often overlook them. That is why, with support from @LEGOfoundation and in partnership with @ElimuYetuC under the Teachwell Voices project we have launched crucial advocacy work to foster an enabling environment for refugee teachers in Kenya.
Over the next five years, we are advocating for essential changes in policy, participation, and funding to improve the quality of teaching and the wellbeing of teachers in refugee settings.
Together, let’s uplift refugee teachers and ensure they can continue making a difference.
