Don’t know where to start? Try this: When you fail, ask “what happened” rather than “why did this happen” or “who did it". This question leads to helpful learnings, not shame or blame
I remarked that we should see the university like a gym to challenge us with discomfort, but making us stronger and more skillful. This useful metaphor (like so many important ideas) originated from my excellent @kennedy_school colleague Tarek Masoud. I should have noted that! Credit where credit is due.
