@itsyaboyywill @BestCryptids @oscarisaacism @ScratchyDerose Marketing cost was low and they onsold a chunk of international rights, 2.5x multiplier tends to apply to the average film so breakeven isn't 125m for this one, not sure if it is 70m either I haven't fact checked that

@MentoDelta @ScratchyDerose The standard 2.5x multiplier doesn't apply to this film due to low marketing cost plus them selling a big chunk of the international rights, not sure if 70m was the breakeven but its a lot lower than the average movie

I reiterate all of my prior concerns about the SCP film being a trojan horse for a corporation to swoop in and try to steal the IP from fans. I don't trust any major corporation to handle and respect the property and its community.
