Interventional pain management is also becoming more popular and patients seem to do better in some ways, clinically and psychologically. #NeuroAnesJC

I find Asian patients to be more reserved and will only call out when in severe pain. Also because the practice in #Malaysia is opioid cautious, the physicians tend to prescribe less of it. #NeuroAnesJC

We are cautious about prescribing opioids both during the peri operative period and on discharge. Maybe because Asians are more sensitive to opioids and have a lower tolerance? #NeuroAnesJC

They are the only doctors who are allowed to prescribe opioids upon discharge and repeat prescriptions are also checked by pharmacists.
