@jvveenvliet @AlejoFraticelli @BartDeplancke Thanks for your enthusiasm! Sampling cells in 3D culture is not implemented yet, but it is indeed an interesting aspect to explore in the next step. We used Raw264.7, which is a macrophage-like cell with a diameter around 7-15 um, smaller than most of cells we used.

@stefan_rucman @BartDeplancke So far we have only worked on mammalian cells. I would say sampling on bacteria is very challenging.

@MalloneAnna @BartDeplancke Yes, we have compared the extracted cytoplasm (Live-seq) with the conventional scRNA-seq in different cells. They match to each other. Extremely polarized cells like neurons might be different but also of interest to check the location specific transcripts.
