Our May Prayer Breakfast was centered around the theme of standing firm amid the storms of Life, anchoring our Faith and Hope in Christ Jesus the Solid rock. With the floods & destructive rains, it gets difficult to trust that God still has us in His divine plan,
But In the words of Psalm 46:1-3
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging."
When God is with us, even in the furnace of fire, where we are meant to be destroyed, God takes us out without even the smell of smoke, with all our hair intact. Repentance draws us near to God’s presence. What a call to seek God in earnest!
Themed from Psalms 51, WAPE’s February prayer breakfast focused on authentic repentance, “Most important is our honest walk with God, rather than the full tray of prayer items we present before Him,” said Ven. Martin.

Peace and reconciliation is the way to go ensure warring communities in the North Rift region live in harmony. The Church has a key role to play.

I appreciate the effort @wape_kenya and the church community are making to see peace reign in North Rift. We should never take for granted the peace we enjoy in our areas. Some areas have known no peace.

Churches have provided a space for dialogue, healing, and reconciliation. They have actively sought to bridge ethnic divides, bringing together communities that have been historically divided by violence.
