Another great circular walk in the Peak District - this includes The Great Ridge. From Castleton to Mam Tor, Hollins Cross and Lose Hill. Great Views looking down on Edale and Ladybower Reservoir and across to Win Hill.
A plea that if you ever see a sheep stuck on her back...please approach her slowly and carefully (so not to frighten her) & help roll her back to her feet!
If she is left like this, she could easily die. You could save her life! π

Celebrate the 70th anniversary of the National Parks of England and Wales, have a walk around Howden and Derwent Reservoirs in the Peak District National Park tomorrow! @peakdistrict
Iβm so lucky to live near the Peak District National Park. The Howden, Derwent and Ladybower Reservoirs are stunning. Celebrate the 70th anniversary of the National Parks of England and Wales - go... https://t.co/Kl0OtX0taJ
I love Higger Tor, it feels so ancient and monumental. The Burbage Edge Wapenmap map features a circular walk that includes Higger Tor and Carl Wark. It also locates Hathersage and the River Derwent, 2 trig points and forested areas.
Kinder Scout Wapenmap map features the final section of the Pennine Way, which passes Kinder Downfall, Jacob's Ladder and end at Grindsbrook Booth. Other interesting features are the site of the Mass Trespass in 1932 at William Clough. Crowden Head, Edale and Kinder Reservoir.
This Wapenmap is very close to where I live in Sheffield - Damflask, Agden and Strines. This map features a circular walk around High Bradfield, Low Bradfield, Damflask & Agden reservoirs. It also locates Dale Dyke reservoir and trig points.
Another wonderful place in the Lake District - Buttermere and Hay Stacks. Wapenmap shows a circular walk that includes Warnscale Bottom, Fleetwith Pike, Grey Knotts, Brandreth, Innominate Tarn and Hay Stacks. Shows Green Gable, High Crag, High Stile, Red Pike and High Snockrigg.
Another Lake District favourite - Helvellyn features a walk through the forests near Thirlmere up to the trig point on Helvellyn along Nethermost Pike. Dollywaggon Pike, Catsty Cam, Birkhouse Moor, Red Tarn, St Sunday Crag, Grisedale, Glenridding 1 of Wainwrights favourite areas.
