The attitudinal change will be possible if government enforces strict sanctions and punitive measures that will serve as a deterrent to others. Without that, people on their own will never ever change their attitudes. The bye-laws must work.
We wonder what meaningful impact this will have on our sanitation issues in Ghana. Clearly we lack direction and the know how to combat the indiscriminate dumbing of refuse all over town. We are always quick to launch and award people etc for basically no work done.
About a month ago I was here commending @DredgeMastersGh for their decision to dredge the Odaw river... Fast forward it rained heavily today and the Odaw is flowing peacefully..

Well done to them

@babileegh @DjGadda973 @ZoomlionLtd@WorldBankAfrica@jsagyepong@AccraMetropolis No amount of support will bring an end entirely to this unreasonable and uncouth behavior from citizens. We need laws to work and massive education. This is an attitudinal disorder. After the clean up, thereβs going to be another heap of rubbish if not more....
@GiantStepIII@NanaAmaYeboaa1 @TorresonPotino @ZoomlionLtd @UNEnvironment @WorldCleanupDay@AccraMetropolis The issue isnβt about dust bins. Itβs largely due to attitude. Until that is addressed and changed this menace will not see an end in sight. We need massive education and the political will to fight this canker. Again, itβs not about dustbins.
@ZoomlionLtd Congratulations for a good work done. Ghana is proud of your immense contribution to sanitation. We shall always be a key stakeholder to promote your great initiatives.
