It isn’t just about what Scyld Berry said. Even before the series started, the Telegraph called Pakistan a “basket case.” Do you think that is fair?

They seem to be using the Pakistan team as a punching bag, despite England being only marginally ahead of Pakistan in the WTC standings.

Criticism is fair but you don’t have to be so condescending towards others. Their headlines, words, choice of images has been very belittling towards Pakistan.

Can you imagine any other country being okay with being called a “basket case”?

BREAKING NEWS: 22 Former international cricket captains have once again written a letter to Pakistan PM over the treatment for Imran Khan. They first wrote a similar letter in February and this one comes after Pak allegedly didn’t completely comply with SC directions.
They have laid down 3 demands:
1. That the medical board directed by the Supreme Court — including Mr Khan's own doctors — be permitted to complete a full and independent assessment of his health, particularly the reported loss of vision in his right eye.
2. That the weekly family visits reinstated by the Court be honoured without interruption or administrative delay.
3. That whatever the outcome of that medical assessment, the treatment recommended by it be provided without delay.

Three Indians - Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar and Dilip Vengsarkar are among the 22 former captains.

The claim that this is the worst Pakistan team in 50 years comes from a writer who recently wrote about the lack of crowds in Tests in the Caribbean, arguing that people don’t have the time to attend them. And then in the same article, he advocated for five-match Test series.

That’s the level intelligence behind this opinion. Sadly, some Pakistanis have joined the chorus simply because the criticism appeared in the “foreign” media.

Some of the opinions have been far too condescending towards Pakistan.

Supreme Court Orders Imran Khan’s Transfer to Shifa International Hospital

Key directions issued by the court:

• Shifa International Hospital will constitute a medical board, including an eye specialist and a cardiologist.

• Imran Khan’s sister, Dr. Uzma Khan, will be allowed to accompany him to the hospital.

• His medical reports will not be shared with the media by his lawyers, party members, or family.

• Hospital expenses will be borne by the party/family.

• If the government believes the court’s order is being misused, it may approach the same bench.
