@kcaloriezxx@tirmakfin@jess_ann_pin Removal of the clitoral hood is also a significantly more common form of FGM than infibulation. The only logical and ethical stance is to stop pretending that violence is different based on the gender of the victim, and take a stand against the genital mutilation of any child.

@MissGreen_Eyes@SkyNewsAust Obviously this employer is stupid in this example, but if the fact the employee is incapable of pregnancy later emerges and the employer tries to argue that makes it OK, this doesn't change that the employee got fired for pregnancy.
@MissGreen_Eyes@SkyNewsAust True but it's easy to think of better examples. Employer sees a woman employee putting on a bit of weight, and assumes it's due to pregnancy. Fires employee and gives the pregnancy as the reason. Employee is incapable of pregnancy but the employer didn't know that.
@SkyNewsAust Reading the quote it makes sense though. If a potential employer sees a woman and doesn't know that she is biologically incapable of getting pregnant, but refuses to hire her on the assumption she is going to get pregnant, it shouldn't matter that the assumption was incorrect.
