For 1,000 days children in Sudan have been running from gunfire, abduction, rape and forced recruitment. Many are alone, separated from their families or orphaned, walking hundreds of kilometres trying to find safety.

We’re calling on the UK Government to:
• Push for an end to attacks on civilians
• Protect children from trafficking & recruitment by armed groups
• Stop the flow of arms into Sudan
• Insist on humanitarian access to areas cut off from aid agencies

Today War Child joins 53 organisations in calling on the Government of Israel to immediately halt the suspension of NGOs and remove all barriers to humanitarian aid. Read the full statement: https://t.co/R06BmwGWvJ
As we enter 2026, our cause remains clear: no child should be part of war. Ever. More children are at risk from conflict than at any time since WWII. With your support, we will protect children, keep them learning, support recovery, and defend their rights—into 2026 and beyond.
For children around the world, this time of year should mean family, warmth, and safety. For thousands of Ukrainian children forcibly transferred into Russia, it means something very different.

@AURORAmusic@UnionChapelUK Thank you so much Aurora. What an unforgettable evening and an incredible amount raised for children affected by conflict ❤️
Deeply grateful to Minister Elmore @CPJElmore and the team at @FCDOGovUK for creating space at the heart of government for the voices of children affected by war. When one in five children worldwide is growing up in conflict, listening to them is not optional - it’s essential.
No child’s future should be a casualty of war. Yesterday, with @WarChildUK & @savechildrenuk I listened to inspiring girls from Sudan, Yemen & Ukraine about why education & mental health support matter to children in conflict. 🇬🇧 is committed to ensuring their voices are heard.
We’ve been blown away by @jinglejam 2025! Together, you’ve raised over £440K for children living through conflict. 🙌
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported Team War Child, whether you donated, fundraised, or watched along.
We couldn’t do our vital work without you. ❤️
Children in Sudan are being left to starve.
Right now, only 35% of the humanitarian aid needed in 2025 has been pledged, according to Care International. Governments are cutting aid even as need grows more extreme every day.

As a result, 180k children are living in areas experiencing famine with almost no food - facing severe hunger, malnutrition, and death. The World Food Programme has warned that without urgent funding, they will soon have to stretch food supplies, even in famine-hit areas.
