This happened to Dish Network like 3-4 times in 6 years in the late 2000s. They look at the subscription metrics (free or not) and say “it’s working” [evil laugh] so they’ll do it again 🤷‍♂️

Oversimplified view of this issue. Who cares who’s bigger? Disney has done this for over a decade with their content. In the late 2000s I remember at least 3-4 times in 6 years, Disney did this to Dish Network. Google is advocating for subscription customers to get the lowest price because they don’t want to increase price to us more. Disney is behaving monopolisticly with Fubo and Hulu buyups… and ESPN app subs... and ESPN+. What will Disney charge when they corner the whole market for ESPN? Punchline, it won’t be good for consumers… and you’re already seeing it with $40/month for ESPN app subs. That’s over half of the YoutubeTV bill 🤷‍♂️
