2024 was about firsts; publications, friendships, the launch of a collective. It’s been a journey. Thanks to @fourteenpoems for my first poem published - what a total honour ✨ & 🙏 @dogwithoutlegs for my poem in Impossible Archetype - I’ve loved & respected the journal for years

James Merrill began this beautiful poem in December 1994 and completed it in a hospital bed in February 1995, shortly before he died from an AIDS-related illness. It appeared in Poetry magazine later the same year.
