Oh man that sounds terrible! On our adventure when we did the cut over, the CTO wasn't there for it (obvs) and he'd designed the SF architecture. So we upped the SF instance to ensure we could keep up, since we were doing roughly 120mm rows a day. 4 days on that instance cost over $100k.
