Being cooked for is truly a love language that I am coming to really appreciate and adore.
I used to think I like cooking until I started being cooked for on the regular and now I think I like that more. 😀
Last month, everything changed.
The CEO introduced me to a client from Madrid.
In Spanish.
There was no time to panic.
For 40 minutes, I held the entire conversation without switching to English.
When the meeting ended, the CEO smiled and said,
“We hired you for marketing. Turns out you're bilingual too.”
I just smiled.
I never corrected him.
Because the lie got me through the door.
But the thousands of dollars, the sleepless mornings, and the relentless studying are what earned my place.
Opportunity may come from confidence...
But staying there takes the work you do after no one is watching.
Genuinely never heard of anyone not posting on WhatsApp because they are trying to aura farm. Just post in peace, man. You are an adult. You don't need consensus.
My grandma always said “toodaloo” instead of goodbye because she hated goodbyes. When she passed away we were on our way to bury her ashes in the cemetery and we were stopped at a traffic light. There was a red Pontiac Sunfire in front of us with a license plate that said “toodaloo” on it. I kid you not we all lost our minds and started crying.
