I'm a democratic socialist, and I'll tell you exactly what that means — because we already ran this country on it once, under Franklin D. Roosevelt.
FDR took office with banks collapsed, farms foreclosed, and men selling apples on street corners. His answer wasn't charity and it wasn't communism. It was democratic socialism through the ballot box: Social Security so old people don't die broke. The WPA and CCC, putting millions to work building the roads, dams, parks, and schools we still use. FDIC insurance so a bank run can't wipe out your savings. The SEC so Wall Street couldn't run the casino rigged. A minimum wage, the 40-hour week, and the legal right to form a union.
Private business stayed private. What changed is the people got a floor under their lives and a referee over the powerful. The voters liked it so much they elected him four times.
Democratic socialism is simple: the essentials of a decent life — healthcare, retirement, an honest wage, a fair shot — shouldn't depend on whether a billionaire feels generous. It's decided by voters, run in the open, and accountable to the people who pay for it.
And let's be honest about the alternative. Like Dr. King said, this country already practices socialism for the rich — bailouts, subsidies, tax breaks — and rugged individualism for everybody else. I just want the deal FDR gave working people: a fair one.

THORChain in the blast radius: RUNE down about 17–20%, swaps halted by a bug that also slowed the hackers
What happened: The Binance hack's laundering trail runs through THORChain, and its token is paying for it. RUNE was the biggest loser in the CoinDesk 100 on Monday, down 6.4% on the session and about 17% over 24 hours, per CoinDesk; TokenPost put the 24-hour fall at about 20%, briefly below $0.50, and LoopWire at 19.1% to $0.50. The pressure is official as well as market-driven: the FBI, the U.S. Secret Service and IRS Criminal Investigation have jointly urged THORNode operators, RPC node operators and DeFi service providers to block flows linked to North Korea's TraderTraitor group, CoinDesk and TokenPost both report. TokenPost's on-chain breakdown of breach-linked flows through THORChain counts about 185.1 million TRX and 3.83 million USDT across roughly 2,697 deposits, with swaps converting about $48.3 million, about $42.7 million received, and about $5.7 million lost to fees and slippage; on-chain analyst SomaXBT has traced about $242 million of the stolen funds through the network, per CoinDesk's reporting. Separately, THORChain itself halted swaps across 10 networks over the weekend: an Ethereum block reorganization on October 31 caused an erroneous 10 ETH refund, the protocol's automatic solvency checker flagged the shortfall and paused Ethereum swaps, and node operators then suspended transfers on the other networks, according to Stocks24 and Iboro Finance, both reporting Chainalysis and THORChain's own account. The recipient returned the excess 10 ETH, restoring the vault balance. Chainalysis noted the halt had a side effect: it was "preventing all users, including DPRK's money launderers, from using cross-chain swaps." Inside the project, the block-or-not question is unresolved — co-founder JP Thor argues against freezing funds and for keeping the network permissionless, while co-founder Chad Barraford said node operators had no information beyond what was public and made no clear pledge to block addresses, per TokenPost; CoinDesk also reports JP Thor arguing against freezing funds.
Why it matters: This is the decentralization stress test in public. A protocol built to move coins without permission is being asked, by three U.S. agencies at once, to act like a gatekeeper — while a plain software bug did more to slow the laundering in one weekend than any policy has. For holders, the lesson is narrower and colder: a token tied to illicit-flow headlines can lose a fifth of its value in a day on regulatory pressure alone, with no hack of its own. RUNE near $0.50 is a headline, not a bargain signal.
Stance: Hold / Cash — no catching this knife. Do not route funds through a protocol under an active federal blocking request, and do not buy a token whose next move depends on a governance fight. Cash is a position. Score 7/10 or I don't trade it.
I made a 26-second animated short on where crypto goes in the Age of AI.
The threat is real: fake voices, fake faces, bots that drain a wallet in seconds. But that's not the end of the story. The future I see is crypto getting harder to rob — proof of reserves you can verify yourself, keys kept offline inside a chip where no machine can reach them.
AI changes the attackers. It doesn't change the rules: verify everything, keep your keys offline, and never trust a voice just because it sounds familiar.

The long version of this thinking lives in the big book I'm writing — Chapter 14, "The AI Age and Crypto," and Chapter 21, "The Future of Crypto." The short version of staying safe is my free field guide + my book "I Got Burned": https://t.co/U3vxtqhx8J
XRP — MY FUTURE PREDICTION
Where it stands tonight: XRP trades at $1.25, fifth-largest crypto on Earth at ~$79 billion — and still 66% below its $3.65 all-time high from July 2025. Today the scheduled 1 billion XRP escrow unlock executed, like it does every month. The whole game with XRP is what happens next to that supply, and who shows up to buy it.
MY PREDICTIONS:
1. THE ESCROW IS THE STORY — UNTIL IT ISN'T.
Every month, 1B XRP unlocks. Every month, the number that matters is how much gets re-locked. As long as re-lock discipline holds, the unlocks are noise. The month that discipline breaks is the month the supply story changes. Watch the re-lock, not the unlock.
2. XRP'S JOB IS THE RAILS, AND THE RAILS ARE GETTING BUSY.
XRP was built to move value across borders in seconds for fractions of a cent. In the Age of AI — agents paying agents, machines settling with machines — fast, cheap, final settlement is exactly the product the market needs more of, not less. Stablecoins will carry a lot of it. The bridge assets that connect everything carry the rest. That's XRP's lane, and it has a ten-year head start.
3. THE INSTITUTIONAL DOOR KEEPS SWINGING OPEN.
Treasury companies are being built just to hold XRP. ETF products are gathering assets. The legal cloud that hung over this coin for years is gone. Institutions move slow — then all at once. XRP's next real leg doesn't come from hype. It comes from boring money deciding it's allowed in.
4. THE LEVELS THAT DECIDE IT.
$1.25 is the line in the sand tonight — it's holding as support right now. Lose it on a daily close and the chart opens toward $0.98. Reclaim $1.32, then clear $1.55 on real volume, and the same chart points at $2.10. The old high at $3.65 is the conversation after that — not before.
5. MY HONEST POSITION: A PREDICTION IS NOT A POSITION.
On my scorecard — news, liquidity, volume, momentum, levels — XRP grades around 4/10 tonight. My rule is 7/10 or I don't trade it. So I watch, I don't chase. If the re-lock holds, volume builds, and $1.55 breaks on a close, the score changes and so does my stance. Until then: XRP is the most interesting "not yet" in crypto.
The little guy doesn't need to guess the top. He needs to know his levels, watch the supply, and be positioned before the boring money arrives — not after.

THE FUTURE OF CRYPTO IN THE AGE OF AI — MY PREDICTIONS
I've traded crypto since 2014. I've seen the ICO mania, the crashes, the exchange collapses, and the biggest hack in history — $6.3 billion gone from Binance in a night, and users made whole in days. Here's where I believe this is going next. These are predictions, not promises — the road forks, and both directions are already visible.
1.
AI AGENTS WILL HOLD WALLETS.
Software won't just advise on crypto — it will own and move it. AI agents will pay each other, hire each other, and settle instantly. And they won't use bank accounts. They'll run on crypto rails, with stablecoins as the money machines actually want to hold.
2.
SECURITY BECOMES THE WHOLE GAME.
When AI can clone any voice, fake any face, and attack a million wallets at once, "trust me" dies. Proof of reserves you can verify yourself becomes the standard — the exchanges that can't show the count won't survive the decade. Keys move offline, into chips. Verify everything becomes normal life, not paranoia.
3.
THE BOTS GET SMARTER. MOST TRADERS WON'T.
AI trading systems will harvest emotional, undisciplined humans faster than ever. The defense isn't a better bot — it's rules. I don't trade anything that scores under 7/10 on my scorecard: news, liquidity, volume, momentum, levels, risk. In the Age of AI, discipline is the last edge a regular person has.
4.
THE RULES GET WRITTEN FOR MACHINES.
By the late 2020s, governments stop asking only "how do we regulate crypto?" and start asking "how do we regulate the AI agents moving money on it?" The countries that write clear rules early get the industry. The ones that ban and bluster get the shadow version instead.
5.
BY 2030, THE FORK.
Two roads lead out of this decade. The Long Table: open, verified, transparent rails that everyday people can actually use safely. Or the shadow rails: private, anonymous, machine-run markets nobody can see into. Which one crypto takes depends on whether regular people learn the rules now — while the table is still being set.
My bet: the winners of the AI age won't be the loudest coins or the fastest bots. They'll be the people and platforms that made themselves impossible to rob and easy to verify.
Protect the little guy. That's the whole mission.

Proof of reserves is fair — but a Tangem card keeps your keys offline in its chip. No hot wallet involved. Not your keys, not your coins.

Prediction from my engines: BTC holds the $76.3K–$78.6K box until Binance's reserves proof Tue Nov 3. Clean proof + close over $78,570 = reclaim, $82K next. Proof slips = $76.3K breaks. #Bitcoin#CryptoNews#Prediction
Speculation: if Binance's reserves proof lands clean Tuesday, the biggest hack in crypto history becomes crypto's strongest trust ad. $6.3B gone — users made whole in days. Watch Nov 3.
