@Bugimus Tom Delonge made a film called Monsters of California, its a low budget kinda Teen movie, but he too brings bigfoot / UAP etc all together in one. And was the one that kicked off a lof of this stuff with the NYT articles
Look into reservoir computing as a whole first, all sorts of fun substrates to work with. https://t.co/cUgfsBcxf6 The real interesting part will come when we can plug into alive mycelium and either use it as a traditional computer, or communicate! Dr. Andrew Adamatzky has been doing lots of fun stuff with mycelium. I will have to read this main paper, I have been down so many rabbit holes on it, over fitting has been my main struggle
@AdamFrank4@Forbes@ForbesTech I would agree with you take. It was fun, was hoping he would have proposed some clever answers to the questions you asked. His taken series he produced was also pretty good if you haven't seen it. Lots of overlap
@Movies_analyst I believe that if someone comes and buys WB, or whatever is happening with it, there could be a chance that all the IP that was shelved for tax purposes could be released.
Penrose at least has an interesting idea that the brain is doing something non-computational. Debatable, but to my knowledge it is currently an unknown if the brain can be fully simulated that then would produce consciousness. Lots of for and against arguments that artificial consciousness can be created. Aran, we could suggest we've found a neural correlate of the color blue, replicate in silico, does that fall into Chalmers Zombie idea? Either way its super interesting and pushing limits of R & D.
@DStrachman Have you found date of submission correlates with anything? People who wait until the last minute vs first app in, wonder if there is some interesting data you can find!
@NikoMcCarty@HamiltonMorris gave a talk recently about the old lsd stories, it was pretty interesting, and came to similar insight. I'll see if his talk is online, really enjoyed it
@PoorOldRoloTony I was always hoping that Gondry would make Philip K Dicks Ubik, I think he had the rights for it, but abandoned it. Would have been brilliant
@alejandroxpadi After going to the cyberpunk exhibit at the Acadamy museum I went looking and was surprised there hasn't been on for Strange Days! Watching again either way
