@startupideaspod Know enough to find the gaps to 'ask' about, then have the tool go fill those gaps...
That's the thing with AI in general, the lazy folks will be lazy, but having the 4 to 5 percent knowledge everyone else lacks will be massive going forward for a while...

@WiFiMoneyGuy@Da7_Tech I swear Claude gives me paragraphs of replies with a line or two is all I need...even with my custom instructions.
I think they are programmed to inflate their output for max tokens?
For years I measured my beginning against people who'd already made it, and called the gap a verdict on me.
Then I opened a spreadsheet and found out I was off by two hundred thousand dollars. I talk about it here 👇https://t.co/sWoMiD2wMz
I live in a cave and argue with AI to write better.
Not to write more. Everyone's using it to make more. I use it to think out loud when there's no one in the room, and to argue with something that pushes back once I've trained it to stop agreeing.
The people fighting about AI are as certain as the hallucinations they complain about.

kimi k3 + hermes finds local businesses with ugly or zero websites, builds them a real one and sends the owner a loom-style video of it
i sold my first website on literally my first dm, just off a loom video
the system you can run as a one-person agency:
- it scrapes one niche off google maps and flags everyone without a site
- it keeps only rated, reviewed, still-alive businesses
- pulls the owner's name from review replies
- kimi k3 writes each site from their real reviews, nothing invented
- a face-cam walkthrough plays over the new site
- the owner clicks, sees their business look professional, claims the site
every step from sourcing to outreach is fully automated
reply "SITE" + RT and i'll send you a free guide so you can build this too (must be following so i can DM you)
Marc Andreessen says his new life coach is a YouTuber with 100 videos about “retardmaxxing”:
"There's this guy on YouTube who has basically a hundred videos on retardmaxxing."
"He's like my new life coach. I haven't met him, but from a distance."
"It's basically just—retardmaxx. Go to work, do a good job, come home, it's fine. Start a company, it succeeds, it fails, it's fine. Have too much to eat one night at dinner, it's fine. Go to the gym, don't count your reps, it's fine. Ask a girl if she wants to go out with you, if she says no, it's fine."
"It's like 100 30-minute videos about retardmaxxing. And you would think that after the first two minutes, he kind of covered it. But no."
"And by the way, they're all hysterical. They're all absolutely fantastic. It's literally him on his porch in the middle of nowhere with a cigar, and it's like a half hour."
"It's just absolutely spectacular."

I know an 8 figure DTC brand looking for a head of Creative. Shared their position with my email list but they didn't find a great candidate yet, so putting it here too. If you're interested in learning more or applying:

@JamesonCamp I'm not a power user like many I follow, but I swear to god, the arguments I get into are effing crazy...
It wont surprise me to see 'AI Therapist' on Google Trends soon 🤣
For me, Gemini is the most frustrating...
Don't let GPT 5.6 Sol delete your entire existence.
I haven't sandboxed so the first thing I am doing now is setting up a custom hook for Codex that prevents "rm -rf"
This model is powerful but I am telling you it's also wild and disrespectful af.
Everyone told me AI would give me my time back.
Six months in, my day felt heavier, not lighter.
Turns out I was bolting it onto the same overloaded workday instead of using it to remove what should not need me: https://t.co/CMKTH6EoSo
bUt wHy wOuLd SoMeOnE pAy $5k a MoNtH wHeN ClAuDe is $20??!?!?!
said people who don't understand how business works.
i think Nick should be charging MORE because the value is so ridiculously clear:
-the agent doesn't take maternity leave, doesn't complain, never clocks out
-he's hosting, managing, and fixing the agent when it breaks
-he's adding new capabilities whenever clients ask
-$5k/month is half the cost of a quality domestic employee
these aren't just generic agents that you drop into someone's business.
they're highly trained, specialized agents with tools, skills, and context.
this service is worth a fortune to the right clients.
In the last few days:
- Anthropic raised claude's willingness to refuse to perform user requests and made the memory system refuse to store personal information
- OpenAI's head of strategy called open weights "communism" and suggested the government lie to stop Americans from using Chinese products
Meanwhile China is releasing cutting-edge uncensored models.
How did America become communist and China a leader on freedom? Bizarre
I’ve seen this before.
Months of free value, then the first real pitch, subscribes rise and the replies are not happy.
Everyone takes the wrong lesson from that moment. 👇https://t.co/9590RGVYc0
@DavidSacks Well, I'm a solo guy with a limited budget...
And I've had to fight with all the US based LLMs for over 2 years despite Custom instructions not to use Em-dashes, or arguing with me about normal stuff...
Haven't used Kimi...but posts like this, the more I'm tempted...
One of the biggest shifts you can make in your mindset is moving from “needing from” to “needing for.”
When we need something from someone, we place ourselves beneath the source of it.
We become beholden to their approval, attention, permission, validation, or resources.
We wait for them to give us what we believe we lack.
And the more we believe we need it from them, the more power we surrender to them.
We need praise from others to feel worthy.
We need permission from someone to move forward.
We need a particular outcome from our work to feel successful.
We need another person to behave differently so we can finally feel at peace.
This kind of needing turns desire into dependency. It makes our inner state conditional on something outside our control.
But needing something for something changes the entire relationship.
Now, you’re focused on creation and transformation.
You need feedback for refining your craft.
You need capital for building the vision.
You need discipline for becoming the person capable of carrying it.
You need support for navigating a difficult season.
You need the conversation for creating greater understanding.
You need the setback for revealing what still needs to grow.
The person, resource, or experience is no longer positioned above you. It becomes part of a larger process, an ingredient in something you are creating.
“Needing from” comes from subconsciously says: "What can this give me? Because I can't give it myself."
“Needing for” subconsciously says: "What can I create, become, or transform through this?"
One makes you dependent on the source. The other places you as a source of transformation.
The shift may sound subtle, but it changes your posture completely, from waiting to creating, from grasping to directing, and from dependence to agency.
Have a great weekend,
Alen
In 2006 I told a mutual fund analyst Google would kick Yahoo's ass. His firm had $2 billion split evenly between them. I told him: every search makes Google 10% more than Yahoo. Market share = daily advantage raised to the power of 3. 10%= 40%. Tiny advantages -> huge wins.
