@Fat_DTEA@butterfaegarden Yup. I did this poll last week and on Tuesday a reporter interviewed me. I got a notification for the corruption story 20 minutes after we hung up
@SellJo99@FriendOfAstraea@rosey_nz@RachealMcGonig1 "According to testing by World Athletics, all three medalists had the 46,XY karyotype and produced levels of testosterone in the male range." This from the women's 800m at Rio 2016

@SellJo99@FriendOfAstraea@rosey_nz@RachealMcGonig1 Having testicles that produce testosterone isn't being genetically gifted. Male and female levels of testosterone don't even overlap and it's why sports are sex segregated. Khelif deserves respect and I feel for her but women's sports exist for a reason
@SellJo99@FriendOfAstraea@rosey_nz@RachealMcGonig1 It's not about being genetically gifted. It's about the benefits of testosterone and being genetically male vs genetically female.
And if she was XX SRY none of this would have happened and she'd still compete with World Boxing.
@SellJo99@FriendOfAstraea@rosey_nz@RachealMcGonig1 She was supposed to compete with World Boxing and suddenly stopped when sex tests were required. Khelif admitted to having the SRY gene and high levels of testosterone during the same interview aka she is genetically male and won't pass the test
@SellJo99@FriendOfAstraea@rosey_nz@RachealMcGonig1 The new boxing federation that replaced the Russian one now requires sex testing. Khelif hasn't participated since this requirement

@FriendOfAstraea@rosey_nz@RachealMcGonig1 No. Khelif was born with a DSD that interfered with the development of secondary sex characteristics in utero. Khelif does not have a womb or ovaries and instead has testosterone producing testicles - hence the current disqualification from boxing
@pmberkeley Proud leftist anonymous men will when it suits there point that women are now 100% equal to men and, if anything, it's men who are disadvantaged these days...that's basically Reddit in a nutshell
@pmberkeley The vocal support she's gotten - which is quite large - does have a lot of apolitical folks and I believe quite a few trad wives. They just don't have huge reach.
Meanwhile - this just hit Reddit with 27k upvotes...on a sub that typically dunks on the right
@pmberkeley That was a joke.
FWIW I heavily disagree with how this has turned into a "oh look at how awful women are". It's unhinged and I've been arguing about it on Reddit for days
@nk111tty@jeongyology Please explain why menopausal women or women who suppress their periods don't get cramps? Why is it only trans women who experience period cramps from "hormone fluctuations"? I think you know the answer...
