World number one Novak Djokovic is hoping his latest trip to Australia is not the last, but admits that at 36 he is now taking it "season by season."
The Serbian superstar is the king of the Melbourne Park hard courts, winning the Australian Open a record 10 times, with an 11th in his sights next month.

He gets his preparations under way in Perth at the ATP-WTA United Cup on Sunday after another incredible season that brought three more Grand Slam titles for a record 24.

Miss Grand Vietnam's management denies rumors of exam prohibition
The management of Doan Thien An, Miss Grand Vietnam 2022, refuted claims that she was prohibited from taking university exams due to excessive absences.
An alleged list of students ineligible for this year’s semester exams at Greenwich University Vietnam, where An studies, has been circulated online since Thursday. This list included Doan Thien An’s name, noting her absence from 37 classes, equating to a 53% absence rate. This sparked immediate criticism of the beauty queen.

Nguyen Nhut Tan, the director of Greenwich Vietnam, addressed the situation that evening, refuting the allegations. Tan explained that An only began her studies at the university this year. For first-year students like her, the only course offered is the English preparatory program, which does not require semester exams.

"Thus, the circulating rumor is incorrect," he stated.

An’s management released a statement affirming that she is fulfilling her academic obligations and exams according to the university’s timeline. The statement further revealed that An’s tenure at Greenwich University is expected to be longer than that of average students to accommodate her need to juggle academic and career commitments as a beauty queen.

"We request individuals and organizations to stop spreading misinformation that affects An’s development process," it therefore stated.

An, 23, represented Vietnam at the 2022 Miss Grand International pageant and made it to the top 20. She also won the "Best National Costume" prize.

She is now pursuing her undergraduate degree while being active as a model.

Investors flock to stores as gold hits all-time high

Jewelry stores are bustling with customers eager to trade in gold, as its value soars to unprecedented heights.
At Saigon Jewelry Company's headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 3, around 10 people were waiting at 11 a.m. Wednesday, all intent on buying or selling gold bars.

Nhi, from District 6, was taken aback upon discovering that gold prices had soared past VND80 million (approximately $3,289.47) per tael on Tuesday, setting a new record.

Opting to convert her bank savings into gold bars, she expressed her strategy: "I've shifted my savings from cash to gold, given the low bank deposit rates and the anticipated rise in gold prices."

After purchasing gold on Tuesday, Nhi returned for more on Wednesday.

Another customer sold her U.S. dollars, which she saved over several years, to buy three taels of gold.

"You will never lose buying gold."

In Hanoi's Cau Giay District, a shop exhausted its gold bar stock before 10 a.m. Tuesday, overwhelmed by the demand.

"The store only has a limited number of bars each day. We could not keep up with a surge in demand," said an employee.

Gold prices reached a new high of VND80.3 million per tael on Tuesday but later settled at VND78.45 million. At the time of reporting, the price hovered around VND79.5 million.

Analysts attribute the price surge to the limited gold

supply, which is controlled by the government.

Currently, Vietnam's gold prices are about 32% higher than global rates.
