The Government cannot reintroduce the Motor Vehicle Tax rejected in 2024 through the fee of Kshs 2,000.00 sought to be collected through the inspection of private vehicles. NTSA has permitted unroadworthy public transport vehicles to remain on roads. The Government has failed or refused to repair roads. The illegal taxation of private vehicles which is another way of stealing from Kenyans should be resisted.

🚨 BREAKING: Traveling to the US is about to become much more expensive for Kenyans and Africans starting this July (next week).

This is important, please share this widely across Kenya and Africa.

If you need a B1/B2 tourist/business visa and want your interview within 10 business days, i.e., two weeks, the US is introducing a new "expedited fee" of KSh 97,000 ($750) on top of the normal application fee.

But here’s where it gets interesting... and highly uncomfortable:

The KSh 97,000 is COMPLETELY NON-REFUNDABLE.

If your visa is declined, i.e., you are given the PINK letter, you lose the entire 97k plus the Visa processing fees. No refund. You walk away with absolutely nothing.

If you don’t mind waiting months for a normal appointment, you just pay the standard fee.

I know this will make some people uncomfortable, but in my view, US embassies in Africa are making enormous amounts of money from Africans through their visa services.

Compare that to Japan, where Kenyan applicants generally only pay after the visa is approved.

Imagine 1,000 applicants paying that extra $750. That’s $750,000 (approx. KSh 97 Million) in premium fees alone, pocketed easily.

And for what? We all know how it goes at the embassy. Sometimes you are asked just one simple question like, "Is your mom alive?" You say no, and boom, you're handed that dreaded pink denial letter.

The irony? Americans pay peanuts to travel to Africa.

As for me, I call this what it is: theft, theft, theft. Because at least refund even 50% of the amount; that would make some sense, but taking the whole 100%?

Islam didn’t just come to oppose the Jews, it came to erase them.

Let’s compare poor Christian nations with poor Islamic ones.

The Philippines: I was there last year. Majority Christian, about 91%, financially poor. But walk the streets and it's joy and music and hospitality. Cities filled with dancing and laughter. You might get offered a meal and a karaoke mic in the same hour.

Now compare that with poor Islamic countries like Somalia, Yemen, or Afghanistan.

What is the fruit? Fear. Depression. Violence. Kids holding AKs. Women hidden. Joy that feels restricted and illegal. Questioning faith is dangerous. Conversion can be deadly. Apostasy penalties exist.

And our Bible says the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Show me that fruit of Islam. Show me gentleness in Sharia law. Show me peace in jihad.

You can’t—because the root determines the fruit. So don’t judge by claims. Don’t judge by numbers. Judge by the fruit you actually see. And if you're honest, you can see which one leads to freedom.

I did not meet Jesus in a church. And I definitely was not looking for Him.

I was not saved by a pastor.

I met Jesus while reading the Quran.

And the wildest part was this:

He was already there.

Surah 3:45 calls Him the Messiah, honored in this world and the next.

Surah 4:171 calls Him a word from Allah and a spirit from Him.

Surah 3:49 says He gives life to the dead, heals the blind and the leper, and creates from clay.

And I remember sitting there thinking:

There is no way this is “just another prophet.”

So I compared Him to Muhammad because I had to.

One gives life.

The other led wars.

One is called sinless.

The other prayed for forgiveness.

One raises the dead.

The other could not overcome death himself.

And I started asking questions I was never supposed to ask:

Why is Jesus the only one called the Messiah?

Why is He the only one born of a virgin?

Why is He the only one coming back to judge the world?

Why does the Quran give Jesus divine titles but never fully explain them?

That tension wrecked me intellectually.

Because the same book telling me not to worship Jesus could not stop elevating Him above every other prophet.

And eventually I realized something:

I did not leave Islam because I hated it.

I left because I followed the clues honestly.

And every single one of them led me to Jesus Christ.

Everywhere, regular Kenyans are complaining how things are so hard and life has become economically unbearable.

Unemployment rate is above 60% among the young people, businesses are struggling with many closing down, families are struggling to put food on the table and the shilling is not stretching far enough as it used to be in 2022 when UDA came into power.

86% of Kenyans say the country is headed in the wrong direction with 80% saying they are worse off today than 4 years ago.

Crime rate has increased 3 fold, with homicide and robberies doubling in key metropolitan areas like Kisumu, Mombasa, Nairobi, Nakuru, and Eldorate over the past 4 years. There is a wave of insecurity crisis across the entire country.

The healthcare system is in shambles as the government owes private hospitals billions, SHA is not working despite continuous assurances from the government that all is well.

The costs of electricity has gone up, the costs of water has gone up, the costs of fuel has gone, adding additional stress to the struggling Kenyans.

Everything is practically grinding to a halt, except corruption and government propaganda machine, that continues to churn out lies like it’s the oxygen they breathe.

The hustler government which was formed to provide relief for the hustlers, has turned out to be their worst nightmare!

Driven by greed and insatiable appetite for public resources, the hustler government has proposed a finance bill that will further drive hustlers into poverty, disposes them of their land and properties, implement the most aggressive tax regime ever seen in our country.

To save Kenya, the UDA government must go home in 2027 and Kenyans must reject the finance bill 2026.

**Upfront Mitumba Tax: **

Raises residential rental income tax from 7.5% to 10%, which is expected to trigger higher monthly rent for tenants.

**Fuel Pricing Changes: **
Alters the EPRA fuel levy formula, this will secure state funds rather than lowering local pump prices.

*Taxed Healthcare and Food Inputs:* Strips tax exemptions on raw materials used to make local medicines, animal feed, and green energy products.

The latest propaganda being pushed around UDA and 2027 is very simple.

They want Kenyans to believe that the election is already gone, that Ruto will rig, that voting will not matter, that registration is useless and that the people should enter 2027 already defeated in their minds.

That is why you are seeing this “they will rig” line being sponsored and amplified everywhere, including by sections of the media that have become very friendly to this regime.

NTV itself has carried the framing of UDA leaders allegedly plotting to rig 2027, showing how loud this narrative has become in public conversation.

To be honest, the optics of serious, countrywide rigging are too heavy for this regime.

This is a government that cannot repair potholes, cannot manage fuel prices, cannot manage schools, cannot manage hospitals, cannot manage salaries, cannot even explain simple taxes without creating anger.

You really believe the same confused regime has the intelligence, discipline, secrecy and technical sophistication to manage a clean nationwide rigging operation without being caught?

Rigging a presidential election is not like bribing a few brokers in a hotel or manipulating a small party nomination. A national election has agents, polling stations, forms, constituency tallying centres, observers, media, screenshots, live streams, parallel tallies and millions of angry citizens watching every number. The moment Kenyans realize even one vote does not tally, this country will enter a crisis bigger than anything this regime can control.

That is why I believe this “he will rig anyway” chorus is not just a warning.

It is psychological warfare meant to kill voter registration, kill turnout and create apathy. It is also meant to make young people say, ��Why vote if they will steal it?” That is exactly where they want you mentally.

The real answer is not to stay home but massive registration, massive turnout, agents in every polling station, parallel tallying, civic vigilance and zero fear.

Elections are not stolen from people who are awake, organized and watching every vote. Elections are stolen from people who were discouraged before the first ballot was even cast.

So don’t fall for the propaganda. The vote still matters, registration matters, turnout mattes and polling station vigilance matters.

On this day, 18 years ago, on 12 May 2008, I published my first article in the @NationAfrica challenging the injustice of odious debt.

I argued then, as I do now, that debts incurred against the interests of the people cannot morally or legally be imposed on generations that never consented to them.

Africa must stop begging for relief from debts designed to enrich a few and impoverish millions. We must audit, question, repudiate, and prosecute where necessary.

The Bible was not used to enslave Africa. Slave traders used selective misreadings of the Bible to justify what they had already decided to do for economic reasons. There is a difference. A big one.

Slavery existed in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Arab world thousands of years before Christianity arrived on the continent. The Transatlantic Slave Trade was not a Bible project. It was a capital project.

The same Bible that slaveholders quoted was the primary weapon abolitionists used to end slavery. Wilberforce, a devout Christian, spent 20 years in Parliament fighting to abolish the trade. Harriet Tubman, an enslaved woman, used her faith as fuel to free hundreds.

The most prominent voices against colonialism and slavery in the 18th and 19th century were not atheists or traditionalists. They were Christians, many of them African Christians, who read the same Bible and concluded that slavery was an abomination before God.

If the Bible enslaved Africa, what do you do with the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, which has held the Christian faith since Acts 8, centuries before Europe was Christianized? Did Ethiopia enslave itself? Did the Bible oppress Axum?

The logic of “the colonizers brought it, so it must be a tool of colonization” does not survive contact with history. The colonizers also brought Western medicine, railways, and the English language.

What actually oppressed Africa was not a book. It was guns, ships, economic incentives, political betrayal by local collaborators, and a global system designed to extract. The Bible was the costume worn by that system, not the engine driving it.

If someone uses a hammer to commit murder, the hammer is not a murder weapon. It is a tool that was misused. You do not throw away every hammer in existence. You hold the man accountable. Hold the slaveholders accountable, not the scriptures they twisted.

Rejecting the Bible because Europeans misused it is doing exactly what they want, surrendering your own ability to encounter truth because of what someone else did with it. That is not decolonization. That is just a different kind of intellectual captivity.

This is 2026, stop all this nonsense takes.

Read or just admit you prefer idol worshipping to the bible and stay there.

Recusal of a judge of the Supreme Court sitting to hear a presidential petition is not tenable.

The rule and the previous custom and practice has been that the bench of SEVEN must sit as a whole.

So Judge Katwat Kigen’s recommendation that he can recuse himself during a presidential petition is not founded in law.

Recusing himself during the presidential petition would seriously affect the quorum of the court, thus rendering it inoperative.

This means that the Supreme Court would never have the jurisdiction to hear the petition.
