My schools coverage of it sucked. We were mostly taught that japan attacked pearl harbor for no reason. Then everything was about Europe and after that we nuked Japan.

If you are not a legal citizen, a felon, have used illegal drugs, been in a mental health facility, or have a restraining order against you then you aren't allowed to buy handguns. You can still buy long guns from another person.

@learning_yohei I am an American and I own multiple firearms and have a license to concealed carry.
My family used to run a gun store. at least in my rural area I think people are more likely to own one then not.
