The online right won the H1b visa debate. And spreading as much info as possible about the various abuses is a good thing, and should continue so we can root it all out. But there is also an art of winning without totally humiliating and angering people you will want to work with productively on other things. But in this social media arms race for clout, that’s probably now impossible.
Bannon: The real rot is in engineering schools. Instead of admitting American citizens—Blacks, Hispanics, and the White working class—they prioritize foreign students who pay full freight, funding professors’ salaries and pensions. The whole system is a scam.
Imagine thinking the H-1B visa is about "meritocratic talent".
The "talent" is selected by a random lottery that doesn’t take qualifications or high salaries into account. A Caltech PhD has the same odds as an IT consultant with a degree from a questionable university in India. The pipeline is filled with petitions from the latter, not the former.
Bot farm activity is being used to push vulgar and low IQ racism to the derailing the conversation. This could be astroturfed by Big Tech. We’ve definitely seen stuff like this happen before on other issues.
Bannon: We’re not going to become some anarcho-libertarian state run by big tech oligarchs—that’s not happening. We didn’t fight all these wars and get to this point just to hand it over to a bunch of geeks who were stuffed in lockers in high school.
To everyone researching H1-B applications, you might as well start putting names and faces to the owners of all of these businesses. Expose every single one of these America Last Devils.
Good gracious, I came out of Christmas bliss to see arguments about American labor vs H1-B imported labor and MAGA split over this issue.
Good, that means everyone is engaged in saving this country.
Here is some tough reality for some of you:
There are some big MAGA voices with large social media platforms throwing down their opinions yet they have never run a company that relies on thousands of skilled/highly trained workers with a constant need for reliable labor yet they claim authority over the subject matter.
When you spend years trying to constantly hire/train/maintain a good reliable workforce, which is a 24/7 never ending cycle, your real world experience will produce an opinion based on reality and all of your followers on X don’t translate to this.
Having owned a construction company for decades (yes I’m that old), I know firsthand our workforce issues.
However, I fully believe we must make the hard and necessary changes here in the U.S. to educate, build, and facilitate a solid foundation of knowledgeable, highly skilled, talented, well paid, AMERICAN workers.
Not having this is like having a crumbling foundation in our house and currently we are importing foreigners to hold up the foundation walls and plug the leaks.
Too many of our young people, are killing their bodies and minds on alcohol and drugs, wasting years and money earning useless college degrees, chasing unrealistic dreams, spending all their time trying to be the next you tuber/content creator/social media influencer instead of pursuing a useful skill set/trade/education in order to become a part of our much needed American workforce.
If you fall in this category, put down the selfie light, and go apply for a job and replace the H1-B visa holders and all the other skilled labor jobs that foreign workers are taking and American companies are desperately trying to hire.
It’s called building a career, you work your way up.
In order to go forward we must change our education system, create a culture that respects hard work and productivity, cut government waste/spending/regulations in order to produce a healthy robust economy that lowers inflation and pays higher wages to an American workforce, so that H1-B is no longer needed and can be done away with.
Decades of America LAST bad decisions in Washington wove a giant web of America LAST policies that created systems and structures that must be torn down and rebuilt to put America FIRST.
This requires everyone’s help to change it and we will all have to do what it takes to get it done.
It won’t be easy and it won’t be as quick as we like, but we can do it TOGETHER and the results will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN but EVEN BETTER THAN BEFORE!!!
Literally not at all what's happened. It all started with a post where someone suggested we remove caps from H1B's. This isn't our first H1B rodeo. In 2016 Trump campaigned on ending the H1B abuse which drives down American wages and creates servants for the tech lords. Then the tech billionaires, after they were caught conflated and obfuscated the argument to it being about bringing in more super geniuses. But there is already visa programs for geniuses and very exceptional people, it's O1 and EB1 visas. Now they're conflating the argument with MAGA is retarded and racist (Democrat and MSM tactic). So now Americans are just too stupid to do jobs and we have to be saved with H1B's doing entry and mid-level tech jobs even though it's about the geniuses right? Tech billionaires that were lifelong Democrats who hated Trump and MAGA until 6 months ago who recently just started claiming they are pro-Trump and pro Maga are now calling maga retards and racists and the slightly smarter ones are conflating arguments with H1B and O1/EB1 (still a Democrat/MSM tactic). They got caught. Mask off moment.
We will kick these tech billionaires to the curb the same way we kick Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan to the curb. Trump is a populist if we start booing him everywhere he goes because of this he will realize he has a choice; let the tech billionaires continue abusing the H1B program in order to get lil $1 million 'I'm sorry' checks or have his legacy tarnished by the people who made him (in politics).
We haven't even started the process of removing the 20 million people Biden let in but sure let's remove caps on H1B so more entry level and mid-level jobs can be taken over. Just another attack on the middle class. Most of us that have the balls to actually disagree with Elon because our finances don't rely on him replying or retweeting us we are the OG MAGAs that been here for 9 years not 6 months. MAGA is bigger than Trump and will remain a force long after he's done in 4 years
Read the room.
Because Big Tech made it clear that if you question their intentions with the Trump admin, you’ll be silenced and threatened with censorship and demonetization.
We didn’t vote for technocratic billionaires.
We voted for President Trump, deportations, & America First policies.
Big Tech’s unchecked influence peddling is setting the stage for Democrats to take back the House by channeling America’s frustrations with being sold out to billionaires who claim to want to cut spending while they enrich themselves.
I predict they will try to impeach over it.
This is what I’m trying to prevent from happening.
Big Tech, their unchecked conflicts & their abuse of power to enrich Silicon Valley is starting to be a major liability for President Trump’s incoming administration.
I’m speaking common sense. Punished for protecting Trump.
I wonder what Trump advisor @StephenM Stephen Miller thinks about the elites of Silicon Valley mocking native born Americans who want a homeland and limited migration.
Stephen, please save all of us “low IQ culturally deficient peasants” from being replaced by Big Tech.
