Waste Watch PH is an online & offline movement to empower seatizens to be proactive about waste management and pressing issues concerning our marine environment
6 & 7. Straw Wars & Plastic Battle: We’ve prevented 10,000+ straws and 350,000+ bottles from being thrown away by partnering with establishments in urban and coastal areas.
8. #Sharkada: With @greenpeaceph and @marinewildlifewatchph , we created the Sharkada to help us show the Philippines that sharks can be cute and why they need to be conserved.
2. SEA Camp: To date, we’ve empowered over 250 youth from all over the Philippines and Southeast Asia to take on larger leadership roles in marine conservation.
3. #CoronIsNotBikiniBottom: Over 250,000 seatizens signed the petition to stop the construction of a resort by Coral World Park and Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon dropped the project in August 2017.
1. Shark Shelter Project: Our first community-based project! We’ve worked on various research, enforcement, and education activities that contributed to institutional changes to protect thresher sharks and coastal and marine resources.
It's our 8th birthday today! 🎂 Here's a thread that will take us down memory lane. ❤ See eight projects and campaigns that have left more than just footprints on the sand for us:

When the people lead, the leaders will follow ✊🏽🚫🎈Okada Manila has officially announced that they will #DropBalloonDrop. 🎉 Thank you to all the organizations and individuals who made waves of change with us.
Here's how Cove Manila plans to make history on New Year's Eve: by dropping 130,000 balloons (indoors, so they think that makes it better) for a world record no one cares about.

You don't need that kind of hazardous waste in your life. 🙅♂🙅♀ Move on from a past that includes disposables and make the switch to reusables. Trust us, it will last longer. 😉
