WCHS were formed in 2018 to monitor & prevent illegal fox hunting by non-violent direct action. We cover the Western hunts and Beagle Packs in Cornwall.
Last Saturday we joined @KernowSabs to watch the foul Fourburrows Hunt, doing wildlife crime on Red River Nature Reserve, we the taxpayers fund its protection. Also endangering the public on our rights of way.
Riders in the Council owned Red River Valley Local Nature Reserve where no horses are allowed and they DO NOT have permission as the Council has told them to stay out repeatedly.
CURY HUNT, ST KEVERNE & LANARTH
As this is a regular ritual slaughter meet, marking a religious feast day for St Keverne, we knew where to find them. We made our mark, displaying our banners to leave people in no doubt that they’re supporting wildlife crime and animal abuse.
We caught up and rated the dogs much to his annoyance. That’s when his gob and frustration got the better of him, grassing up the police for passing him information he should not have. A complaint has been made.
Shortly after, Sabs, saw a beauty away 🦊. Foiled yet again.
A full ban on trail hunts is the only way forward, to stop the ever more ridiculous lies and arrogant law breaking. They’ve nobody but themselves to blame.
Cury Hunt, 11/10/25, Tucoyse Fharm Nr Gweek.
Sat alongside a County Wildlife Site Woodland for at least 45 mins. It’s a very steep valley where they can only sit waiting at the top edge, while 20+ massive dogs are sent in there to rampage through.
Every one of those field riders has to know they won’t be following any trail through there!!! They are all as culpable in the brazen wildlife crime, there were children involved. The facilitating landowner David Harris is too, as he’s out watching.
Let’s hope by the next crime spree season, movement has been made towards updating the law or at least severe deterrents until that happens. Thanks so much for all the support over the years, it means everything.
CURY HUNT: TRELOWARREN ESTATE 30/3/25 & TUCOYSE FARM NR GWEEK 5/4/25
Sorry for the delay in our final report for 24-25. We’ve been having a bit of downtime and getting a bath, seven months of hanging around the hunt sorts does take its toll. Then it comes around fast again.
Martyn Toman then kicked up again, telling our male Sab he would smash his face in. But his tiny man game got stopped, as much to our amusement, a person turned up and asked why they were trespassing on their land!
