The nuclear football is always kept with the POTUS when travelling and used to authorize a nuclear strike while on the road.  The briefcase is carried by a military aide and a simple search reveals a host of watches on the wrist for this important job where time really matters.

CIA Memorial Wall: Norman Schwartz’s Rolex - This Memorial Day, we examine the Rolex of Norman Schwartz, a former Marine pilot and CIA contractor killed during a covert mission over China in 1952. More than 50 years later, the watch was recovered from the crash site.
