@waterlineorm has some very smart validation flags for your model attributes.
For example, you can set isURL: true for an attribute to make Waterline validates if the value to be set on that attribute is a form of URL

📝 NEW ARTICLE
This article will introduce you to the actions2 style of writing actions in Sails and how to start using it in your Sails applications.
Migrating your Sails actions to actions2

Need to add single sign-on (SSO) to your Sails app?
Nickolas Fisher's new article on Okta's developer blog shows us how to do just that.
Thanks @okta and @oktadev!
Step by step instructions on how to deploy to @heroku with the new @SendGrid config. The folks at @LogRocket published a new tutorial showing how to set that up in the latest generated web app template project. (Prefer secure cookie sessions, the default? Just skip the JWT part.)
🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♂️ GitHub will match the first $5k (USD) in donations to an open source dev, and they’re eating the cost of payment processing fees for the first year (probably 2-3%)
Tip: If you're like me back in 2011, and you're hankering to use more @nodejs at work, be sure to keep an eye on @sailsjsjobs. Madison from our team keeps an eye on new job postings about Node.js / Sails.js developers and posts regularly when she sees something good.
First #london#nodejs meetup with folks from @LNUGorg and a Sails.js talk followed by a WASM compiler one.
It was simply awesome and a good reminder of CS3470 (Compiler & Code Generation) and some Assembly stuff from IY3840.
