I've been thinking recently, how good of an indicator (in relation to being a good engineer) are the following:
- Hackathons
- Competitive Programming
- Grades
- Math competitions (IMO, Putnam, etc.)

@notmoeezm Not to get too red, but if you automate to a point where human labour is no longer profitable. The people in the owner class no longer have a profit incentive at caring about how the proletariat live. And they can’t revolt since the owners have the military.

@notmoeezm I think it’s both but the moral bankruptcy is just a symptom of excessive comfort and lack of purpose. These both stem from technological advance. What’s worse is that the excessive comfort in the west creates an imbalance of excessive misery in the third world.
