Back to collecting after a long time. Sharing cool cards, selling tips, and things I’ve learned about #thehobby. Check out my eBay items at the link below.
Got my preordered 2025 Resurgence - each blaster had either a #’d card or auto and each mega had both an auto and numbered card. Plus pulled a Tyreek SP. This product seems loaded compared to most other 2025 products.
@CardPurchaser
@CoachGavyn@CardPurchaser Yeah it’s always a challenge; the more you see the easier it gets to recognize different parallels but there’s so many variations out there and each has their own verbiage. Still fun to discover new stuff!
@InYa_miT23@CardPurchaser Per @WaxMetrix who does the best write ups on Topps products: these have a print run of around 25 EACH - so super rare! Nice pull!
@WaxMetrix Oh I’m feeling like 9.5 million - trying to pull in retail buyers at a lower price point but need to keep the dilution proportionally intact.
@footballcardfun Yeah I have to believe there’ll be a market (obviously much smaller) but it would be great to see if there’ll willing to take some big swings and get creative to try and stay relevant. I mean they don’t really have another option (unless licensing changes which seems remote).

@footballcardfun@paullydoughnuts Yeah I think there will be a market correction at some point - both in regards to values better reflect a true market & also when Topps has been around longer & we get a better idea of what are actually case hits. Lack of information & speculation breeds all sorts of confusion.
@footballcardfun@paullydoughnuts And lastly 3) UltraViolet is to the best of my knowledge the only carryover case hit from Chrome NBA and essentially reached permeation in the buyer/seller market knowledge base. I think the others will catch up with time but it looks like the market already decided.
@footballcardfun@paullydoughnuts I think 3 things are going on:
1) Not all case hits are created equal (which) you’re dead on with. Think of this year’s Mosaic football case hits and how they all vary in presentation and value.
Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder but rarity is a basis for value.
@footballcardfun@paullydoughnuts 2) It’s the Wild West out there with Chrome right now and all the values and prices are just crazy. The comps are being set and reset and are probably fraudulent in some cases.
Actual scarcity & perceived scarcity look the same in a small sample size & there’s little policing.
