We are all guilty of it.
There is an element of thinking that by combining multiple ideas and meanings in our writing, we look more intelligent and well-read.
It is filled with big words that only a few people understand.
But it is doing the opposite.
The reader's attention is lost because there is no singular message which carries throughout, and those fancy words just dilute what you are trying to say.
Keep it simple. One message. Words that everyone can understand.
Nobody cares if you have read the dictionary.
