A good news story spoilt by a misleading headline. National flags weren't 'banned'. Very sensibly 'people were asked not to bring national flags, political placards or promote their own cause', this being a Christian event not a day out for the far right.
@EvangelicalsNow@jonkuhrt The 'lies, greed and the disaster [Shift] brings to his country and the world is a picture of what Donald Trump is doing to America and the world today.' Thank you for being so forthright in speaking out against Trump and the Christians who support him!
@MonkEmma@SuellaBraverman Horrors! The right wing are fanning the flames of an anti-Muslim conflagration which will engulf us in the next few years. Irresponsible is too mild a term.
@MonkEmma@dominicgrieve_ My understanding was that the guidance was to the effect of "don't make a Muslim child draw something their religion doesn't allow". Perhaps the wording was unclear, but surely that was the message. I'm sorry if Dominic Grieve, someone I respect, hasn't grasped that.

@PaulBrandITV I wonder whether Liz Truss herself will follow next. I can't work out whether that will be a good thing in terms of Reform's demise or not.
