NEW: A two-time Jeopardy champion in North Carolina has been arrested again less than three months after a judge spared him prison time and put him on probation.

Now a judge has denied his bond and locked him in the Wake County Jail.

According to an arrest warrant obtained by WBTV, 44-year-old Philip Joseph "Joey" DeSena of Raleigh was arrested on Friday and charged with 10 felony counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor.

Investigators allege the development engineer duplicated unlawful explicit images and videos involving minors between the ages of 7 and 15.

The arrest comes less than a year after DeSena turned himself in on December 1, 2025, on two felony counts of secret peeping in Currituck County.

In that earlier case, deputies said he hid cameras inside a bedroom and a bathroom at a rental house in Corolla "with the intent to capture the image of another without their consent."

Instead of prison time, a judge allowed DeSena to plead guilty on July 27 to five years of probation, 100 hours of community service, and a mental health evaluation.

Under that plea deal, the judge did not even require him to register as a sex offender.

Just months earlier, DeSena won two straight nights on Jeopardy in November 2024 to take home $44,698 before returning for the Champions Wildcard semifinals in January 2025.

"It was a literal dream come true," DeSena said at the time while praising the show's crew and his fellow contestants.

We are finally getting a look behind the government's covert efforts to access the contents of Americans' phones by seizing them at the border, without a warrant or even individualized suspcison.

In @adc's latest phone seizure case, Imam v. Mullin, the court in the Eastern District of Virginia ordered the gov't to provide information about precisely what it did with our clients' phones and laptops from declarants with firsthand knowledge. The government submitted declarations that appeared to redact the relevant information, including the basis for the seizures, as well as what was done with Plaintiff Imam's devices.

Judge Brinkema just found these redactions unwarranted and ordered the government to unseal most of them.

Bodycam footage shows Florida deputies arresting a mother at an airport after authorities say she left her four children, ages 9, 11, 12 and 14, home alone while traveling to Las Vegas for work.

Irene Miller, 50, was taken into custody Friday as she stepped off a plane. Two days earlier, one of her children had called 911 after a dumbbell fell on her 9-year-old brother's head.

When deputies arrived at the family's Kissimmee home, they found the children without adult supervision and had the injured boy taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released. Miller now faces four counts of child neglect.
