However, a quick search certainly suggests Swinney's admission that funds were not used for the very specific purpose they were donated & 'ring-fenced' for, could leave the party wide open to civil action.

Membership fees and general donations are for the day to day running of the party. The £600k was raised separately for a very specific purpose and it was not used for that purpose. Those who donated were duped. Cheated. This glib response from @JohnSwinney just proves how truth and honesty are now completely alien concepts to him and @theSNP in general.

With Dorothy Bain in charge, I doubt they had to push too hard. Ditto to dismiss a prosecution of Mrs Murrell, despite her unwillingness to cooperate with police and her closeness to the guilty party (and his ill gotten gains) on both a personal and professional level, making her complete ignorance of the crime almost impossible.
