This was the best moment of my life. I got to tell my story on what I went through for 17 years in Louisville Kentucky. Growing up back home I never felt valued or loved outside of my family. When I came to Carlow in Pittsburgh it felt like God flipped my world upside down.
Some things I got from @PastorMikeJr today that spoke to me:
āThe enemy can't stop God from blessing you so he attacks your memory, your focus, and your perspective to keep you from seing what God already did.ā
āIf we donāt heal what hurt us, we will normalize what numbed us.ā
āWe do not need something to happen to show gratitude towards the Lord.ā
āStop rushing from the answered prayer to the next problem. Your body is blessed while your mind is blank.ā
AMEN! šš½
God sees who has wronged you, the bad breaks, the unfair situations. He doesnāt stop all the difficulties. He wonāt keep you from all the trouble, but He said in Zechariah 9, āIf you will be a prisoner of hope, I will restore double back to you.ā
If youāre dwelling on the past, you wonāt see the new thing. If youāre focused on who hurt you and what wasnāt fair, then youāll miss your destiny. Forget the former things, quit dwelling on your mistakes. This is a new day.
Many times, itās not other people underestimating us; weāre underestimating ourselves. Itās not the Goliathās holding us back; itās the lies that weāre buying into. Donāt discount what you have. If you needed more, God would have given you more.
The greatest lesson Iāve learned through it all is not to worry but to lean on and trust GOD in every situation. Even when I donāt know what to do, Iāve learned that GOD will always guide me. I live stress-free because I know that, no matter what, GOD has the final say over my life. Iām able to persevere through trials because I come from a family built on morals, values, and unshakable principles. Growing up, I had access to a lot, and maybe without my understanding shaped my world view, but Iāve realized that peace, purpose, and faith canāt be bought. They have to be built. True success is who you become while waiting on GODās timing. GODās pace protects what your purpose will one day require.
Rob Dillingham on what it felt like to not play his rookie year
āItās hard to explain honestly, like for yaāll if you had something you love to do, and you do it every single day and now you just canāt do it. Youāre still working at it but you donāt get to perform. Youāre going to feel something inside, itās not towards people, itās just life⦠experience teaches you, so I donāt really worry about⦠weāre here now and Iām going to make the best of it for sureā
