An Asian Lady Beetle larva somehow got inside the other day. (Very scary looking, so I had to identify it)
After finding out, I sicced it on the pests that are killing this plant since she's their natural predator (scale bugs).
I came to check on her—and found her pupating!
@Neuro_Matt This study proposes the same mechanism I was suggesting:
"...placing the tape on the skin may have affected sensorimotor integration and impacted proprioception and motor control through cutaneous afferents."

@Neuro_Matt Full disclosure—I've never tried any kind of body tape, so my theory is only based on experiences of others I've read online and what I've read on the topic in actual research
It's certainly no miracle cure-all, but it doesn't seem impossible that it could have *some* benefit
@matt_boot_ @gnome_chomsky69 My logic:
Countable nouns are Kiki, and uncountable nouns are Bouba.
I associate countability with divisibility—and uncountability with indivisibility.
Even numbers divide up more easily than odd numbers (arguably), so even is Kiki while odd is Bouba.
@Angelwolfboy @The_Galactabee I made a flip book using poorly drawn stick figures in a workbook I got in 7th grade, and I've kept it all these years because I'm *still* proud of it. Stick figures (bad ones) are lovable too

Found one for real
If you still can't see it, I'm calling for an optometrist. You probably shouldnt be operating any machinery if you can't make out basic shapes. Don't want to take any unnecessary risks, of course
@djamilaknopf@b1zz@Displate Maybe they can't (or refuse to) see that the color pattern of the cat's coat is identical to the original. The color is changed, but the placement of the darker color is identical.
You could overlay the copy on the original and it would be obvious
The Chinese government—which is probably the single most well-known abuser of state authority in modern times—is mad that the US government—also known for habitual abuses of state authority—is abusing state authority.
Am I getting that right?
@ProfChrisMJones I wish it was easier to figure out how to cite things like this. I've wasted so much time just looking for any guidance at all on it 🫠
