✍️We are delighted to announce the re-signing of utility player Alex Carr.
⚽Alex was ever present last season being one of the first names on the team sheet whether be it in the LB or the CM or the LW position where he is comfortable playing in a variety of roles. Alex is a lad of very few words but he makes up in ability on the pitch.
🗣️Wayne said ‘We are delighted Alex has re-signed. He is exactly the type of player that I want in my team. He is a hard working committed and more importantly a talented young lad. I don't shy away from addressing people who are under the assumption Alex is only here because his Dad is on the management team. Alex has had good offers elsewhere, yet decided to stay, because he wants to play and progress with the Boysie and I have no doubt he will give us everything and then some on the pitch this upcoming season!"
✍️Centre Back James Carr becomes our 10th signing of the 2026/27 season
🐅James is a fantastic player who’s commitment and his dedication to the squad last season was the reason we are delighted he has agreed to stay. His leadership qualities on the pitch was on several occasions last season he was made the stand in captain.
💪James not known to very many was playing games at the back end of season with an injury that would have kept many players from playing. However he battled through it when in hindsight he should have rested it but due to his nature of not wanting to let his teammates down he played games and that shows you the type of player and person he is !
🗣️Wayne said" I first signed James when I was at Durham City and he was a 18 year lad who I had identified that year. He was a player who could easily play higher and possessed all the qualities most young lads these days don’t have and with the right people around him and playing week in,week out he will only get better and I fully believe that he can go up the leagues as he develops."
👋Welcome back, James
✍️We are delighted to announce Charlie Paterson has re-signed for this upcoming 2026/27 season and will resume his Captain role once back playing!
🩺Everybody knows that Pato suffered a horrific ACL and MCL injury that kept him out for the whole season. He has since had his knee rebuilt with a new procedure using the Quad muscle to strengthen the MCL and ACL and we are pleased to say he is already back working on fitness and expected to link up with the squad for pre season.
🗣️Wayne said "To have Pato back with us at the Boysie is massive and it showed last year how much of a miss his presence was in certain games and how it effected our early league results as many supporters know Pato is a leader and wears his heart on his sleeve and will bend over backwards for this club so to have him back will be on the pitch will be massive for our ambitions this season
"However we also don’t want him to rush back and suffer a relapse and more importantly I have had this discussion with him and he knows we need him to stay on that pitch when he is finally back playing. Because it has showed that if he isn’t playing and missing games through suspension especially in our early fixtures he is a massive miss."
🐅Welcome back Pato
⚽✍️ Last season's goalscorer Lewis Martin re-signs becoming our seventh bit of business
🔥Unknown to many, the in-demand hitman was managing a tendon problem last season which hindered him yet he was still able to find the net 8 times as our main attacking outlet. With the off season providing a chance to recover, there is even more to come this campaign!
🗣️Wayne said: "I am looking forward to seeing Lew and Staresy linking up this season. Two big strong lads who are both prolific in front of goal with the experience to complement each other, so to get Lew onboard again bodes well and it’s going to be exciting to see"
🐅Welcome back Lewy!

🎶The Young Folks! After playing a huge role in February's unbeaten run midfield maestro Paul Young is our second renewal, and four signing of the summerl! ✍️
🗣️Wayne said: "Youngy was instrumental in midfield last season. That higher level experience playing for Guisborough Town and Redcar Athletic was really invaluable and helped bring on the younger lads.
♟️"He is a hard working player and he was quite often, our primary playmaker, controlling the tempo of the game.
💥"Youngy orchestrated alot of our attacks and also contributed with some key goals in key games including our final goal of the season so we are delighted he has agreed to stay on at the Boysie 2026/27"
🐅Great to have you back on board Youngy!

✍️We are pleased to announce the retained signing of last season's Captain Kieran Harnett
🛡️The big 6ft 2 centre half was our leader on the pitch and off and even contributed goals, with 2 excellent free kicks against Alnwick and Redcar Town
🐅Kieran has naturally been subject to transfer speculation over the summer but having committed to the Boysie for 2026/27 he will no doubt play a big role in helping us push up the table this season!

✍️We're delighted to announce the signing of Billingham Town Captain Matthew Robinson
⚔️The dynamic central midfielder was part of the Billy Town side which won the league in 2019. A born winner with a strong presence on the pitch, we are delighted he has chosen to commit to Boysie for the 2026/27 season after his services were highly sought after!
🗣️Gaffer Gredziak said: "Robbo is a quality player so I am really glad to get this deal over the line and commit to us this season.
"Robbo has a great left foot and with his experience and attitude and his ability on the ball. I'm sure he will soon become very popular with the Boysie supporters"

✍️ Staresy Returns Home!
🐅We are delighted to announce that local Grangetown forward Kieran Stares has returned to his hometown club after winning the league with Redcar Town last season.
🔥The prolific striker scored the only goal in the Trunk Road Derby in Easter witnessed by a club record 531 crowd at the Boysie and having bagged 20 goals in total between Redcar & Billy Town last season we are pleased to say he has committed to the Boysie for the 2026/27 season.
🗣️Gredziak said: ‘I am big admirer of Kieran and he was always one of our main targets this summer. To secure him shows the club's ambition for this upcoming season.
⏫"For myself Paul and Radders, he is the type of player we want at this club and will complement the players we already have in our squad who will battle.
⚽"And every time they put on that shirt we know we will get that and also with Staresy he will give us goals in abundance and with him being well known in Grangetown it’s always nice to have him playing in a Amber and black shirt again!"
👋Welcome back Staresy 🧡🖤

Gate price is £6 adults this season so practically pays for itself in 3 visits. Fantastic for our regular watchers and fans who love a couple of visits from further afield!
Boysie Legend Andrew Doddy Retires from Football! This evening we can confirm that our box to box midfielder has taken the decision to hang up his boots after an illustrious career which saw the Doddler represent the Boysie way back in our Teesside League days before a decade long stint in Australia representing Dunbar Rovers at a high level.
Returning to the Boysie to help establish us in Northern League, Doddy has played a huge role on and off the field from helping with kit to culminating in scoring the crucial penalty which secured our survival status in our 2-1 away with against Prudhoe as well as helping Redcar Town reach the Over 35s Cup final.
Beyond playing, Doddy's professional approach and attitude on and off the pitch has helped the younger players develop over the course of the season stepping up their performances when playing alongside him, an attribute cited by the Grangetown Gaffer.
Manager Wayne Gredziak said: "I personally would like to say a massive thank you to Doddler for everything he has helped me and the squad and more importantly the Club over the years he has been involved with the Boysie.
"Personally I think he will go down as a club legend. I will say I did try to tempt him to play another one last season, but with his Padel coaching and managing his son's football team as well as a business he understandably had to decline.
"He is going to be a massive miss but I can’t thank him enough for everything and no doubt he'll be following us and down to watch when able.
"Myself, Paul, Radders,Jamie and Chris would all like to thank him massively and we all have gained a friend for life thank you for everything he has done and he knows he is welcome to join us in the Mangerment team any time"
"All the best Doddler mate!"
Fans can join Doddy in following the Boysie this season with our £20 bank holiday season ticket offer and with one match shirt now going spare, fans who take up our ticket deal before the 11.59pm Monday 25th deadline will be entered into a draw to win it. Email below
