Australians deserve to know that every Senator in our Parliament meets the requirements of the Constitution. Section 44 is crystal clear, and many politicians from all backgrounds have faced scrutiny, and even removal, for dual citizenship.

When I raised legitimate questions about Senator Fatima Payman's eligibility, the response wasn’t to address the concerns but to label me as racist. That’s a cop-out. These rules have been applied to everyone, from Greens to Nationals to my own team. Why should Senator Payman be exempt?

Instead of waving papers around, Senator Payman should table her documents, make them public, and prove she meets the same standards as everyone else.

The Constitution applies equally, no exceptions.
