Ayn Rand: "You would be attacked by people for your success. The most immoral thing on earth, to attack a man not for his flaws, but for his virtues. To make a success of yourself in any line of rational activity is a great virtue."
Emigration from the UK has reached the highest level in a century.
What’s even more concerning: 45 tax-paying, job-creating millionaires leave the UK every day.
Every day, 3,000 new welfare recipients are added.
And the left’s response? A wealth tax. One could not make it up.
Classic unintended consequences to authorities trying to change the natural flow with ill thought out dams.
Regulators should have degrees in hydrology rather than in PPE
We are in the middle of the deepest, most profound and fastest technological revolution ever. The US and China are spending gazillions to build AI infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the official EU-Commission account “Digital EU” is proudly bragging about chargers. Europe is so cooked.
Eye-opening chart: the UK is on its way to becoming a socialist paradise.
The only problem is that under socialism, everyone is equally poor, not equally wealthy.
Every day, 45 tax-paying millionaires leave the UK, taking countless jobs with them.
Every day, 3,000 new welfare recipients are added.
And what does the government do to stop this slow-motion train wreck? It is seriously discussing a wealth tax.
A wealth tax would mean that for quite a few entrepreneurs, their combined annual income tax and wealth tax burden would exceed their income. They would have no choice but to close the business or, more likely, emigrate and in some cases take the business with them.
The pandemic has shown that businesses can be managed from anywhere; they simply don’t need to stay in the UK anymore.
A wealth tax would reduce tax revenues even further and throttle growth potential.
The UK urgently needs deregulation and lower taxes to stimulate growth again. Putting millions of people on permanent welfare while the hardworking ones have no choice but to leave is a recipe for stagnation and a debt crisis down the road.
Unfortunately, pro-growth policies that drive prosperity are not compatible with left-wing ideology. There won’t be any change before the next general election. Will Reform be able to turn Britain around?
If Keir Starmer had been president of the US this operation would have ended with Washington handing over Puerto Rico and a trillion dollars to Venezuela.
Popular far-left French politician Louis Boyard discreetly takes off his Rolex worth $50,000 before giving an interview ‘denouncing the ultra-rich’.
Hypocrisy at its finest.
In proportion to population the millionaires exodus from the UK is unprecedented. Tax revenues already go down, yet some socialists request a wealth tax. Imagine the exodus then. Don’t they understand the implications, or they understand, but just follow their left ideology?
David Lammy would be happy to send white working-class boys to the frontline against Russia but thinks they don’t deserve internships at the secret services.
This policy is daft, it’s discriminatory, but most of all – it’s dangerous.
My letter to the Foreign Secretary:
Jesus. You’re taking the credit for an independent central bank decision that has cut interest rates because the economy YOU preside over is failing so badly.
The ultimate in brass neckery.
Astonishing gaslighting.
You’re not a bad person if you think it’s wrong that Britain’s non-Muslim female chancellor felt she had to wear a hijab in a room full of Pakistani men.
It’s ok to call this out as kowtowing to backward beliefs about women.
And it’s ok to say that it’s un-British.
After Macron’s vanity tour last week, now the German Chancellor arrives in London and calls Brexit “deplorable”.
No condemnation from Ministers, who appear quite content to allow foreign leaders to turn up and publicly insult the democratic decisions of the British people.
“Do you know that one of the great problems of our age is that we are governed by people who care more about feelings than they do about thoughts and ideas.”
— Margaret Thatcher
