🇭🇹 Let's Go Haiti 🇭🇹 ⁠
The Haitian robotics team significantly impacted the First Global Challenge 2024, held in Athens, Greece, from September 26 to 29. The team competed against 194 countries and focused on an innovative project to combat famine by transforming leaves into proteins to create a Leaf Protein Concentrate. This initiative directly aligned with the competition’s theme, “Feeding the Future,” and showcased the potential of technology in addressing global food challenges.⁠

Guided by their mentors, Jameson Léo and Jovany Florvil, the Haitian team was selected as one of the ten finalists for their outstanding project. The team consisted of five talented teenagers: captain and driver Scutt Marlly, programming and mechanical design specialists Nicolas Sterly Faïcka and Jean Pierre Djolanda, mechanical designer Pierre John Kely Stanley, and team driver Roosevelt Marseillant. Their collaboration and ingenuity shone brightly throughout the competition, reflecting the spirit of innovation and resilience that Haiti embodies.⁠

The team’s hard work paid off, as they were awarded two prestigious accolades: a bronze medal, the Al-Khwarizmi Award, and the Social Media Challenge Award. This recognition highlights the team’s technical skills and ability to engage and inspire others through their project.⁠
