A few days ago I laid flowers on the grave of a man who was born into slavery. I wrote an article on Henry Gibbs in 2020 as part of my @LJMUhistory undergrad degree, but was frustrated when my research hit a brick wall. Here is the original article

Saturday morning, well spent, listening to @TheBrownBeagle discuss the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. A fantastic insight into a part of history I knew nothing about. Thanks to @Sampan_Travel for hosting the event.
Wow, Ricky Hatton has passed away, what a massive loss. He's definitely up there with the most exciting British fighters. Only beaten by the absolute elite at the end of his career. Thoughts are with his family. #Boxing#Hatton
Liverpoolโs Erik Farkas played the full 90 minutes for England U17 in a 2-1 win over Israel in his first minutes of the international break.
Liam Balmer also started for second consecutive match as he helped England win midweek against Venezuela.
Teaching is the same wherever you are in the world. Kids notice the enthusiasm you have just as much as the content you teach. And of course, @Everton are never forgotten. We have a new following in #Myanmar
30 years going to Goodison Park and I'm not there for the final game, I'm absolutely gutted. I'll miss the Grand Old Lady. I'll miss the crowd, the atmosphere, the friends, the football (sometimes). The start of a new era, but god, I'll miss the old one #UTFT#EFC#GoodisonPark
@TopBalc4 I drove from Yeovil and Glasgow for those games and can't think of many times I've left the ground more depressed. Bolton (when Tim scored) was also woeful.
The people of Myanmar really need as much help as they can get. Over 1600 people have lost their lives already, and the death toll will only rise. If you can make any sort of donation at all it would really help:https://t.co/VZ5v0InWR9

Yesterday was really surreal. We knew it was a big earthquake but had no idea of the consequences elsewhere. Thankfully, everyone at school is fine, but the scenes of Mandalay and Bangkok are heartbreaking.
@AverageGrappler Hey mate, thanks, it's always good to hear at least 1 student thinks I was a half decent teacher. We're all OK, bit shook up from the earthquake yesterday, but no major damage where we are. Miss KHS, especially the students, but we're having an amazing adventure out here. #UTT
