As the sun sets, remember the gift God gave us—a time to rest, worship, reflect, and draw closer to Him.

🌙 Good Evening Scripture
Psalm 4:8
“In peace I will both lie down and sleep,
For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety.”
As this day comes to an end, remember that you do not have to carry every worry into tomorrow. There are things you cannot control, problems you cannot solve tonight, and questions that may still be unanswered.
But your peace does not depend on having everything figured out. David could rest because his security was in the Lord. Give God what is weighing on your heart tonight.
Trust Him with what happened today and with whatever tomorrow may Rest in His presence. Trust in His care. He is still God while you sleep.Good evening, and may the Lord give you peace tonight. 🙏🌙

Scripture
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Meaning
As evening comes and the noise of the day begins to fade, this verse reminds us that we do not have to solve everything before we rest. We can become still before God, release our worries and uncertainties to Him, and remember that He remains sovereign over what we cannot control.
Being still is more than being quiet. It is choosing to stop striving long enough to recognize who God is. Tonight, rest knowing that tomorrow is already in His hands.
Good evening. May your heart find peace in the presence of God. https://t.co/TWZ96ibyNi

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses…” — Ephesians 1:7 (NASB 1995)
Your past does not have to define your future. In Christ, forgiveness is not something you earn—it rests on what Jesus has already done. His blood paid the price. His grace offers redemption.
Grace does not ignore our sin. It points us to the Savior who paid for it. https://t.co/TWZ96ibyNi

So, it felt like a coincidence when our old acquaintance, Monsieur G——, the Perfect of the Parisian police, burst into the room.
We welcomed him warmly, as he was a mix of entertaining and exasperating, and it had been several years since we last saw him. We had been sitting in the dark, but Dupin got up to light a lamp and then changed his mind when G—— mentioned he was there to seek our advice on an official matter that had proven troublesome.
“If it’s something that requires some thought,” Dupin suggested, no longer bothering to light the lamp, “it’s better to discuss it in the dark.”
“That’s one of your quirky ideas,” said the Prefect, who had a habit of labeling anything beyond his understanding as “odd," and thus lived surrounded by a multitude of “oddities.”

“Well then, I have received reliable information from a very high source that a crucial document has been stolen from the royal apartments. We know who took it; it’s beyond doubt. He was seen doing it. It’s also known that he still has it.”
“How do you know this?” asked Dupin.
“It’s easy to infer from the nature of the document and from the fact that certain consequences that should have followed its theft have not occurred. In other words, he’s clearly holding on to it.”
“Be a bit more specific,” I urged.
“I can say that the document gives its holder significant power in a certain area where such power is incredibly valuable.” The Prefect enjoyed using diplomatic jargon.
“I still don’t understand,” Dupin said.
“Okay, the letter, when revealed to a third party—who shall remain nameless—could question the honor of someone very high in rank. This gives the holder leverage over that important figure.”
“But this leverage relies on the thief knowing that the victim knows that he’s the thief. Who would dare—”

“Perhaps the mystery is a bit too obvious,” Dupin added.
“Oh come on! Who would think of such a thing?”
“A little too self-evident.”
Our visitor burst out laughing, “Oh, Dupin, you’re going to be the death of me!”
“So, what’s the issue at hand?” I asked.
“I’ll tell you,” the Prefect replied, taking a long thoughtful puff from his pipe and settling into his chair. “But first, I must warn you that this matter requires the utmost secrecy. If it gets out that I shared it with anyone, I could lose my position.”
“Go on,” I encouraged.
“Or not,” Dupin added.
