It had less to do with Alc, more to do with the crowd…but ultimately a display of his character cracking

It has to do with keeping eyes on the prize and not letting up knowing how dangerous Alc is, and body could reset.

There was a period where Novak was holding back a bit - neither or there. Took a stance and rightfully so.
