BE THE CHANGE YOUR FAMILY NEEDS
“BE THE PERSON WHO CHANGES EVERYTHING FOR YOUR FAMILY.”
I’m obsessed with this idea. I wanted to be the one who changed everything, the reason why things shifted for the better. Yes, some of that change has been financial, but it’s about more than just money. It’s about creating a family culture.
I want that culture to be loving, with an extra dose of optimism. I want it to be supportive, but with actions that back up those words. I want it to be inspiring, but also resilient, with the ability to persevere through challenges.
The environment I want to create is one that sets us up for success, where success is expected. I want the world we build as a family to allow us to live on our terms, not according to what we’re told. To do this, I sought out education, not just to grow as a leader, but to teach the version of myself that I used to be.
I believe having goals and narratives like this helps drive you on the days when you don’t want to do the work. To achieve this, you have no choice but to keep going.
Congratulations @TCU_Baseball@KirkSaarloosTCU on starting the season with 10 straight wins. Proud that my 1994 squad held the record for 30 years. Bring us home our first Natty! #GoFrogs
TCU had no Derius Davis, lost Quentin Johnston and Kendre Miller, saw Max Duggan fighting for his life, had plenty of self inflicted wounds, and still managed to win that football game.
If anyone doubts TCU belongs in the CFP race after that one, you’re fooling yourself.
