A5 going with @modernclassproj again- developing mastery checks along the storyline of the unit for self pacing to ensure they get where they need to go, as well as connecting learning back to phenomenon hook throughout- all done through and at the end
Q5: How do you know that students know what's they should know at the end of a lesson or unit of study? Any unique or innovative methods that you can share? #satchat
@BurroughsEDk12 Agree! When it’s at the beginning, we shouldn’t abandon it. Come back at the middle, at the end- apply what you’ve learned, ask questions. Use it to drive learning. #satchat
#satchat#scienceteacher Engagement in science is phenomenon driven. It gives a purpose for all of the learning-kids work to understand and explain the phenomenon.
A2 #satchat focus first on what Ss should know and be able to do at the end. Work backwards, plan for what they will be doing, not just learning-active verbs for each activity.
Great day at #RSAC21 today. Thanks to all of the amazing presenters. My favorite so far has been @MCUSDSupe’s session on teacher evals. Wish all of my admins could have heard it!
