💬"The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.”

d. #otd 1953 Maud Gonne, who visited #Yeats @ 3BlenheimRd #BedfordPk on 30 Jan 1889 when, #Yeats says, "the troubling of my life began"... to which he might have added "as did some of my greatest poems... " incl. the one that inspired @Conradshawcross's vision of #EnwroughtLight

‘Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done,
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.’
