pov: you're reading an old thread that links somewhere, but to log in you need your password manager, which won't open until you update Chrome, so you lose your place in the thread and forget what you were even doing and go make lunch
I had a dream the other night about a really, really great analogy for... something, but I can't remember what it was, or what it was even about. I'm cursed now knowing only that I had the knowledge once -- like when you pointedly forget how to fly, just before you wake up.
made it upsettingly far in my career before learning the result of [1,5,10].sort() in javascript is [1,10,5]. Thanks to #AdventOfCode for the affirmation that there is, and always will be, so much I do not know.
the dimming dunning kruger effect effect: the more one knows *about* the dunning kruger effect, the less confident they are in it, in themselves, and also in literally everything else.
@sirultimos I hear it's so good! Robyn just got a PSVR and was raving about it -- I'm inching ever closer to breaking down and getting it from the MS Store rather than waiting until ~next year for it on Steam
Every day for about 10 minutes I want to learn TLA+ ... and then I look at a TLA+ spec. The syntax is ridiculous. There are at least 4 ways to express assignment! All of /\, \/, <>, <<>>, and |-> are parts of the sub-language you need to learn to learn the actual thing!
