@CarawayDJ Most certainly unintentional. Including the probable possibility he intended to brake and got the wrong pedal. In that case... why did he want to disengage FSD? He's alive. Let's ask him.
@niravp44@aelluswamy@elonmusk@kylaschwaberow Clearly he intended to brake and missed. If so that means he also felt FSD needed to be disengaged. But why? Why did he miss the brake?
@SDembraski What caused Michael Butler to think he needed to press the brake when he missed and tromped on the accelerator? I'm at 97% FSD, but the question becomes are we too complacent? FSD damn well better be perfect cuz none of us would be ready to intercede.
You're probably aware that by expanding the nav route directions list, you'll enable the display and selection of alternate routes to the one currently planned. Click the destination name in the nav window then click the top of the route directions to expand. Map show alternates for selection.
They've pretty much become an @Tesla trademark by now and for sure can't be beat aerodynamically, but IMO the door handle levers on my Model Y are not easier to use than the "grab-and-pull" handles I'm used to.
Oh time good ol days of 14.2.2.5. Just installed the 2026.14.6.7 update to 14.3.3 last night and within 3 miles got locked out of FSD. Blame it on sunglasses and a hat. Of course on the first nag I moved the wheel (very slightly) as instructed and it disengaged. Removed sunglasses. Kept hat. Two minutes later I'm pulled over and locked out. New software, new rules. Tesla should give the choice of regressing to a prior version
@Tesla_AI FSD 14.3.3 enjoys parking in curbside pickup and reserved vehicle parking spots. Also somehow on a multi-stop nav ending at home, the navigation lost "Driveway" as the destination parking selection for home. Driveway was not even available as an option so it tried parking in the street. Previous stop had used "Parking Lot"
@MattWallaceTech Doesn't center itself in the space. My take is that it parks closer to the driver's side of the parking space than the passenger's side.
The $8,000 option was pulled just before I bought. But that only covered FSD supervised I believe. They could still tack on a subscription fee on top of that for unsupervised.
No doubt there'll be some pricing discovery while Tesla tries to find out what the market will bear.
