This is WCC Apprenticeships Twitter Feed Coordinator Michael signing out. Leaving my Health and Wellbeing Apprenticeship today, wishing the best of luck for all apprentices and apprentice coordinators, old and new! Been a pleasure and a privilege working with you.
Another event months in the making to create a greener workplace... paid off!
Well done to Mollie (top right) and the rest of the Economy and Arts team for a gold #GreenImpact Award!
Taking place Tuesdays 8-9pm, hosted by @RocketLaunchUK, #HampshireHour is a great place to network with businesses - we advertised apprenticeships earlier this year, discussing how they are varied and fulfilling, like doughnuts! (Missing out that bit)

We are always keen to have guest hosts for #Hampshirehour. It's a great way to showcase your expertise and add value to the local business community. Tweet or DM us if you would like to take a turn.
Apprenticeships first developed in the Middle Ages. A master craftsman was entitled to employ young people, providing formal training in the trade.
Now apprenticeships are found almost anywhere, to the point of: "Apprenticeships? There's an app for that." https://t.co/Nrf8fbelHl
Parents! Did you know that there’s apprenticeships in the following fields? Journalism? Engineering Technician? Fashion studio assistant?
If you didn’t then you might want to head to our advice section.

Often an apprentice can help out with a project, but as they develop they have the opportunity to organise an event or deliver a presentation months in the making - this is one of those times. Great work and good luck, Kate! (Landscape and Open Spaces)
New month, new apprentices! Gabby and Natasha are both commencing their apprenticeship journeys here at WCC. Gabby is working in Revenues and Benefits with Natasha in Communications.
Already they have met the current WCC apprentices - all is good in Apprentice land! :-)
Great afternoon at the Winchester Jobs Fair, apprentice Mollie and myself networking with organisations as well as Apprentice Coordinator Carolyn at the WCC stall.
Photo creds to Mollie and Callum, now working in an engaging communications role following his apprenticeship here!
Great afternoon at the Kings School Careers Fair talking to students and adults, answering questions about what exactly an apprenticeship is - interesting that some had a solid grasp and vice-versa.
One thing was for sure though - the freebies were perilously low by day's end!
New Apprentice Twitter Coordinator Michael here, starting off by saying great job to Jenni, her Policy and Projects Team and Housing for organising this event - it's so important to know that Loan Sharks, no matter how much money they offer, are NOT friendly faces. Well done! :)
Winchester City Council has signed the zero-tolerance to Loan Sharks Charter & will join with organisations across the district to protect vulnerable residents & send a clear message that we are united in a zero-tolerance approach #StopLoanSharks https://t.co/3MFJJQLpu0
NEW apprentice Jordon, started his new role in Special Maintenance and we look forward to meeting him and learning more about his journey through Winchester City Council.
Apprentice Reece has finished his apprenticeship and will be leaving the program on Tuesday.
We couldn't be more proud of what he has achieved and how far he has come - WELL DONE !
Good luck with your future and keep us updated x
It's going to be hot this week. So don't forget to SLIP, SLAP, SLOP. Slip on a t-shirt, slop on some sunscreen and slap on a hat. Don't forget to drink plenty of water. #Heatwaveuk
