##GenerationRestoration
Hands in the soil, hearts in the mission! Today, we’re in the Rwenzori region, planting trees and distributing staples to farmers to grow resilient, sustainable landscapes. We are dedicated to supporting grassroot communities combat changing climate through nature based solution.
On #WorldEnvironmentDay we spoke to Joshua Mbankania the project manager of the Moon Trees project that We4all is supporting for 3 years now to restore landscapes in the Rwenzori region.
This project is a community project that focuses on agroforestry.

This event marked the beginning of our project to restore 5 acres of degraded land together with the orthodox church in Uganda, emphasizing the crucial role of religion and religious leaders in driving climate action.
Our recent tree planting event with Peace and Hope Monte (Saint Antonios Monde) organization, under the patronage of Father Antonios Mutyaba of a priest of the Orthodox Church.

🌳Mr. Musinguzi Francis from Bunyangabu district.🌾 one of 800 farmers in the Rwenzori region benefiting from agroforestry practices. By integrating trees into his farm, he's creating shade, retaining water for his crops, and enhancing soil health while restoring tree covers.
Hello Alex, We4all under our urban forestry initiative has initiated conservation on this to create green urban spaces in the capital and we welcome you to build up momentum.
Let us know when we can get on a call.
My idea on Bandali Rise went viral. Here is another one. Let's get our own Central Park in Kampala:
Let's have the City partner with the Kabaka and transform his ranch near Kyambogo into our version of Central Park in New York. Many major cities have those parks and nature-focused spots. The ranch is 45 hectares (~100 acres) so we would have plenty to work with.
It would have to be a partnership between the city and the kingdom. Partnership is the keyword but if our leaders were to pull it off, it would be amazing:
- An oasis of nature (in the city) to walk, jog and enjoy.
- A place for kids to run and play over the weekend. Families from all across Kampala could go and enjoy the outdoors.
- Get a few friends and throw a spontaneous BBQ at well-organized spots.
- Go through a cultural walk organized by the kingdom and showcase local artists. Tourists would love that and it would be a source of income for all parties.
- Free outdoor concerts, kids play, and so on. The ranch could become a cultural center for the city further building the legacy of the Kabaka.
PS: I know there might be some political issues and "politics" involved so this post might be super naive. Yet, I am free to dream and the point is: let's get some public park action going in Kampala, please :)
Congratulations Sibiya,We4all is ready to work with you and your team to accelerate Next Media's corporate environment responsibility to deliver on its ambitious environmental goals
