The Gwayi-Shangani Lake project, a flagship infrastructure development in Zimbabwe valued at US$600 million, is nearing completion with construction currently at 75 percent, and authorities are confident that the dam will be finished by year-end.
The project has gained significant momentum under the Second Republic after enduring decades of delays, and it is poised to transform water security and drive economic growth in Matabeleland North and Bulawayo. Steady progress has been made across critical components of the dam, with key structures advancing towards completion.
The project is expected to unlock substantial economic opportunities in agriculture, fisheries, and tourism while addressing water challenges. A 256-kilometre pipeline will supply water to Bulawayo and create a green belt that will boost agricultural production and rural development along the route.
Additionally, the lake's proximity to a game park is anticipated to enhance tourism potential, establishing the area as a growing economic hub in Matabeleland North.

I wish to reward these Comrades who fought by all means to protect the President, by providing them with a token of appreciation of USD$10k per person. During the period when Matinyarare was attacking the President, these individuals did everything within their power to defend him and the First Family.
Furthermore, I will instruct my microfinance institution to offer them low-cost loans to help kickstart their small businesses.
Congratulations to you all. Stay blessed, and continue to protect the President and the image of our country.
